Hands-on calm for busy minds

Creative Wellbeing

For women and professionals who need space to breathe.

Whether you’re feeling overextended, creatively blocked, or just longing for a gentler pace, Creative Wellbeing offerings are designed to help you reconnect – with your body, your breath, your inner voice, and your hands.

feeling like this?

  • You love supporting others – but rarely carve out space for yourself.
  • You’ve lost touch with your creativity (or wonder if you ever had it).
  • You’re overstimulated, burnt out, or stuck in your head.
  • You want to slow down… but don’t know how.
  • You crave something that feels less like self-improvement and more like self-connection.
  • You want self-care that’s quiet, creative, and restorative.
Trust me, I’ve been there!
YOU’RE NOT ALONE

You’re experiencing this problem because...

01. Your nervous system is doing its best to cope – but it’s tired.

You’ve been running on adrenaline, holding it all together, and pushing through. That constant state of “on” takes a toll. Rest isn’t just something you earn – it’s something your body and mind need in order to feel safe, steady, and whole.

02. In a world of constant noise, productivity, and pressure, it’s easy to disconnect from our inner world.

We’re so often pulled outward – by expectations, roles, and responsibilities – that we forget how to listen inward. Stillness can feel foreign, even uncomfortable. But slowing down helps you come home to yourself, gently and without judgment.

03. Creative expression isn’t just “a nice hobby” – it’s a way back to yourself.

When your hands are moving, your thoughts soften. Creativity quiets the noise and reconnects you with your breath, your body, and your deeper self. You don’t have to be “good” at it. You just have to be willing to show up.

Creative Wellbeing invites you to listen inward, regulate gently, and reconnect through the power of making.

IMAGINE HOW IT WOULD FEEL IF…

Describe the outcome of the program.

  • You had a weekly ritual of creative calm.
  • Your body felt grounded, not tense.
  • Your inner critic softened.
  • You remembered what it felt like to make something with your hands.
  • You were part of a space that felt safe, slow, and soul-nourishing.

MEET YOUR Facilitator

hey, i’m lauren!

Creative Wellbeing is my way of blending nervous system science with handmade softness – offering reflective, hands-on support for those who need a break from the noise.

I’m Lauren Barrett – psychologist, mentor, and creative wellbeing facilitator. I support people who feel overstretched and under-nourished to reconnect with themselves in ways that are practical, powerful, and deeply human.

You don’t need to be an artist.
You don’t need to have a “project.”
You don’t need to be good at this.

You just need to show up.
Your hands know what to do.
Let them lead you home.

frequently asked questions

No crafting experience is necessary. Our sessions are about the joy of the process, not the perfection of the product. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or a complete beginner, you’re welcome here.

For The Reflective Stitch group program, I recommend having your knitting or crochet or another small project at hand.

If you’re joining a one-to-one session, you can bring a craft project if you wish, or simply come as you are. I focus on creating a space that feels right for you.

If you’re feeling overstretched, creatively blocked, or simply in need of a quieter pace, these offerings are designed for you. My programs are crafted to help you reconnect with yourself, gently and without judgment.

Life happens, and I understand. If you need to miss a session, you’ll still receive the weekly reflection sheets and mindfulness activities to support your practice at home.

Absolutely. Creative Wellbeing is about reconnecting with your inner self, whether or not you currently feel creative. It’s about making space for calm and connection, wherever you’re at.

Come as you are. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a willingness to be you. If you’re joining a group session, bring your craft project. For one-to-one sessions, feel free to bring a project or simply yourself.

If you have any goals in mind for our work together, I find it can be helpful for you to jot these down before the session to help guide your intentions. Otherwise we can explore your goals openly without preparation in the initial sessions.

I strive to create an inclusive environment and are happy to discuss any specific needs or accommodations you might require. Please reach out before your session to ensure I can support you fully: [email protected]

I am able to offer a full refund if you cancel your registration at least one week (7 days) before the program begins. After this time I offer a 50% refund or opportunity to join a future group up to 48 hours prior to the start of the program.
